ronresnickRon Resnick - President

Ron is a business development professional with over 25 years of experience successfully growing high technology businesses and their ecosystems. Ron serves as President of Power Matters Alliance since Feb. 2013 and as an executive with Powermat Technologies. From 2002 - 2012, Ron filled various roles at Intel and as President and Chairman of the Board of the WiMAX Forum, an industry association driving 4G wireless broadband. At Intel, Ron launched and served as General Manager of Intel's Broadband Wireless business startup delivering one of the first 4G broadband modems. Initial role at Intel included Intel Capital Investment Director and Director of New Business Development at Intel's Architecture Labs, successfully funding and managing the launch of multiple seed and new business ventures. Earlier in his career, Ron was Vice President of Marketing at a computer peripherals manufacturer and developed one of the first VOIP instant messaging applications. Prior to his contributions in the corporate world, Ron also served as a pilot in the U.S. Air Force.

rainesItay Sherman - Chief Technology Officer

Itay Sherman is an electronics and communication engineer with more than twenty years of experience in developing standards for multiple consumer technologies. At Texas Instruments, Itay led technology teams as CTO of the MCS division and managed their cable standardization and WLAN system activities. Itay then became CTO of modu Ltd. (mobile handset design) and has been providing consulting services on IP and Technology for leading Hi-Tech companies in Israel, US & UK.

Mick Conley - Certification Program Directormickconley

Mick is currently Development Manager for Underwriters Laboratory (UL) responsible for wireless certification and interoperability programs for emerging technologies. Prior to UL he was Director of Technical Operations for Wi-Fi Alliance. At WFA he quadrupled the R&D lab and launched multiple interoperability programs enhancing the Wi-Fi ecosystem. He holds leadership positions within WBA, NFC and Thread Group. He is contributor to OIC, connected car and wearable certification programs. His 20 years of computer technology experience spans all aspects of engineering development for companies such as Intel, Motorola, ADC, Xircom and Xirrus. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration with honors from the University of Phoenix. He has also attended Stanford Graduate Business School's Senior Executive Program, Cal Tech Technology Management and Kellogg School of Management for Non-Profits. 

 

soonClifton Barber - Director of Technology

Clif is an engineering professional with over 25 years of experience, primarily in wireless telecommunications. He brings substantial expertise in the development of mobile devices and the standardization of wireless systems, requirements, and protocols. Most recently, Clif served for 10 years as a key consultant to KDDI, a global 500 company and the 2nd largest cellular operator in Japan, providing them with representation on international Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) for wireless telecommunication in addition to business intelligence/strategic direction on positioning and industry technology developments. Prior to that, he served as Director, Standards for Tantivy Communications, a start-up telecommunications technology development firm, where he led global standardization activities for their technologies and system components. Clif also served in positions of regularly increasing responsibility over a period of 13 years with Oki Telecom, an internationally based company that developed the world's 1st cellular telephone. For most of that periord, Clif has served in almost 20 leadership positions in a wide variety of SDOs. 

Jill Ward - Director of Financejill

Jill's responsibilities include managing the accounting function for the organization, setting budgets and forecasts, and reporting results. Jill has been a management accountant for over 30 years, working with software companies, high-tech manufacturers, online firms, not-for-profit firms, among other industries. 

 

joey m 1Joey Makabenta - Director of Information Systems

Joey provides technical support to PMA members and staff. He designs, upgrades and maintains all databases, website operating systems, network and server infrastructure. Joey collaborates with the different departments of the Organization to automate and improve work processes.  Joey also provides technical services to the WiMAX Forum and has worked as Director of Information Systems for relational investors, relational advisors and other independent businesses. He also spent 12 years as Operations Director of Digital Integration Group and Last Stop Computing, a technology integration and reseller firm. Joey graduated from University of California in San Diego with a degree in Physics.

Oksana Davis - General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Business Development Directoroksana

Oksana is the General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Business Development Director of Power Matters Alliance. Her Primary responsibilities are to provide legal advice, corporate governance, contract negotiation and drafting, legal research and other corporate business services for PMA. Ms. Davis has experience working with other technology trade organizations and consortiums whose members include Fortune 500 technology companies. She has practiced as an Associate and Contract Attorney in business, technology, and corporate law with Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP (a 100+ attorney full service law firm) and Steven James Davis APC (a premier San Diego based law firm). Her areas of practice include corporate governance, entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, licensing and a variety of other corporate and business activities. She served as Legal Counsel for Satellite Security Corporation, a publicly traded GPS asset tracking company. Ms. Davis is licensed to practice law in California and the Ukraine. She received her Specialist's Diploma with Honors in Jurisprudence (equivalent to a Juris Doctor degree, Cum Laude, in the United States) from the National Academy of Law of Ukraine. Ms. Davis also received a LL.M. degree in Comparative Law, Cum Laude, from California Western School of Law. 

Kelsey Dawson - Membership Coordinator and Administrative Assistantkelsey

Kelsey is the Membership Coordinator and Administrative Assistant for Power Matters Alliance with 8 years of marketing and administrative experience. Her responsibilities include, assisting the President, coordinating member events, maintaining member relations and assisting potential members in the membership process. Kelsey graduated with a Marketing degree from San Diego State University. 

 

Lynda Dallman - Director of Human Resourceslyndadallman

Lynda's responsibilities include managing people-related areas for the company, including recruiting, compensation and benefits, staff development, and employee relations. Lynda held HR leadership roles for over 25 years in global companies such as Intel, Nike and Apple, but now uses her expertise to consult with start-ups and non-profits.
